This summer was a whirlwind of work and travel and I'm settling into September as one might settle into a nice, soft bed.
I absolutely love the slow sweetness of fall and it usually means it's time for me to start working on music again. Which, guess what? I am! As of June it was three years since I released this little baby of mine:
And two years since the release of my single "A Girl Who Waits".
So, I've decided that it's time to start recording again. And soon! There's still a lot to be determined so I'm not going to say much except that I'll be working with Fremont Recording again, as well as Amanda Breese. Of course I'll be working with a few more amazing and integral musicians, but I'm keeping things kind of under-wraps at the moment. (Yay surprises!)
What I will say is this: I've been in my cocoon writing the last two years – filling pages and pages with words and chords and ideas. Taking time to travel, gain experiences (and an unexpected appreciation for the words home, and alone). I drank too many espressos, I spent entire days at Powell's with a book in my hand and a dream in my heart. And now, it's time to share all of these things with you.
So get excited for new music, and a few songs that you know and love with a fresh coat of paint. So hello old friends. I'm Molly Kate, and I'm back again – the same but different. Stay tuned.
